  • Belle and Addy’s Baptism

Today was very special for our family, as we witnessed Belle and Addy’s baptism! It was so exciting.

Our pastor began by explaining to the visitors how baptism is only a symbol of the believer’s salvation and that in and of itself it cannot save anyone. Pastor Mowery allowed Daddy to baptize the girls and it was so great both because he got to baptize his own daughters and because it was his first baptism since he’s gone into the ministry.

Ok, back up a bit. First during service, Belle sang “A Tender Heart” during service. You can here it here, under “Here’s My Heart”.

Belle was the first. She started off by giving a testimony of her salvation.

“I baptize you in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit…

Buried in the likeness of his death…

Raised in the likeness of his resurrection.”

    Toesies gives her testimony.
(Shortened version of long story: Toesies is one of Addy’s nicknames. Her name is Adelaide Rose. From there we started to call her “Rosie”, or “Rosie Toesie,” or just “Toesies.” So there.)

It was really so incredible to see my baby sisters getting baptized!

I love the look on Belle’s face in this picture.

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”–Romans 6:4

I’m so proud of you, girls! I’m praying that you will grow up to serve the Lord for the rest of your lives! Love you!

      Hello Alexandra,

I did not see a way to contact you on your site other than posting a comment. If there is another way please let me know.

My name is Eric Reploeg and I wrote a song several years ago called “The Value of One.” So, I love the name of your blog. I’m curious, with your missionary journeys, if you have heard the song at all in your travels.
