A Pink Slip of a Missionary

    Friday, February 5th, 2010

I was sent this great satirical story, and coming from the daughter of a missionary who has gotten letters such as this, as well as knowing friends who have gotten letters like this as well, let me tell you that this is all too true. Anyway. A PINK SLIP FOR AN APOSTLE by Rick Moeller Missionary [...]

An Imaginary Conversation with a Female Missionary

    Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

Now, I know I’m opening a can of worms here, but Pastor Mowery just wrote an extremely good article, and I wanted to share it with y’all. If you don’t like it, don’t read it, ok? But just so you know, inflammatory or other such attacking comments will not be posted. Like a friend of mine [...]

    Belle and Addy’s Baptism

    Sunday, August 30th, 2009

Today was very special for our family, as we witnessed Belle and Addy’s baptism! It was so exciting. Our pastor began by explaining to the visitors how baptism is only a symbol of the believer’s salvation and that in and of itself it cannot save anyone. Pastor Mowery allowed Daddy to baptize the girls and [...]

Pictures from the Cuban Cuisine at the Cuban’s Casa

    Saturday, August 29th, 2009

Last Saturday we had the church family over for a dinner of traditional Cuban food…roast pork, black beans and rice, fried plantains, and flan for dessert…oh, and Cuban expresso coffee.  I didn’t get any pictures, but Mrs. Campbell did. So here they are… Jon and Mr. Campbell. Neither were too eager to get their picture taken. In the [...]

The Sunday School: America’s Big Problem

    Sunday, June 7th, 2009

Pastor Victor Mowery, the pastor of Providence Independant Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas (which we attend ) recently wrote an article on “The Sunday School: America’s Big Problem”. It was so good I wanted to share it here. He says, “The child’s parents and pastor, in that order, are the only people charged with [...]

The Girls Sing on Easter Sunday

    Monday, April 13th, 2009

This Sunday at Providence Independent Baptist Church, the girls were able to sing a special with Pastor Mowery’s girls. It was really sweet and they did a great job! You can hear the girls’ songs, Christ the Lord is Risen Today and Jesus Saves here. More photos of last Sunday are on Providence’s website.

    Women Missionaries…Are they Biblical?

    Monday, February 23rd, 2009

I mentioned in my last post that I was going to explain women missionaries in my next post…my dad beat me to it. We find in Acts 13:1 the beginning of Paul’s first missionary journey. In verse 5 of the same chapter we are told just what these missionaries did  ”And when they were at [...]

    Fundamental or Fundamentalist?

    Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

This issue has been on my heart for a long time, but my dad expressed it so much better than I ever could. On his blog, he states… Today we are more occupied with having our names seen in “Fundamentalist” publications than seeing other’s names written in the Lamb’s Book of life. So-called “Fundamentalists” seek to [...]

    My First Giveaway!

    Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

On a bright sunny day in November 2000, our life and the lives of many other people were changed forever when a pastor’s wife killed her daughter and committed suicide. Through this tragic circumstance my dad began searching God’s Word for the answers to the movement that had ultimately cost the mother and daughter their [...]

    Let Them Come…

    Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

A thought-provoking article on Generation Cedar…“Let Them Come”. We worship together as a family and it is interesting to see how “controversial” this subject is. A very good post!
